Vacation Pics!

I’ve been waiting to write this blog because I couldn’t decide how to start it. I could start with the story of how badly I needed a vacation, or how I came about the money to take this vacation or I could tell you that my sister and I are Twilight freaks.

Yep, I’m coming out of the casket. I’m totally team Edward and I’m not embarrassed to say so.
Now that you know my dirty little secret, let me tell you the dirty huge secret.

My sister and I are so Twilight crazy, that we flew half-way across the country and drove nearly 8 hours to visit Forks, Washington.

We took the tour, we visited Dazzled By Twilight, we walked on LaPush beach, collected rocks on First beach, ate in the diner, had pizza at Bella Italia-home of Bella and Edwards first date. Neither of us enjoy mushroom ravioli or berry cobbler.

We brought a copy of Twilight along, not to read but as a reference manual.

And while we were only there for 2 days, we found a new appreciation for not only the story, but the region. What a beautiful part of the country. Olympic National Forest is absolutely breathtaking. I’m so glad that we are obsessed enjoyed the books, otherwise we would not have had this amazing experience.

Everyone in the town of Forks, which by the way is very small (only about 3100 people), was so nice! Every store, souvenir booth and gas station held nothing but helpful and smiling people. The same is true of Port Angeles.

This was a perfect vacation and a perfect way to spend time with my sister!
