I just joined a Facebook group called Everyone Should Love A Tattooed Boy. Isn’t that hysterical?! I mean, I DO love a tattooed boy, but the things they think of to make Facebook groups out of cracks me up. I’m also a fan of Being Awesome. Cause I am.
Anywho, in honor of this most fantastic group, I thought I’d share my Tattooed Boy with you! More specifically, my Tattooed Boy’s tattoos.
I have several tattoos myself. In fact, I just got a couple new ones two weeks ago when our friends [Corpus] Christie and her tattooed boy were here for a visit. We all got tattooed together! Together, the four of us possess more than 30 pieces of body art!
Our kids, who are teens, talk about what they will and won’t get when they are older and we encourage them. We’ve both explained the need to have the ability to cover your art.
Unfortunately, the world hasn’t quite caught up and many folks still look down on the tattooed.
The Hubs has 6 super hawt tattoos. As you will see, one of them is a work in progress. It should be finished by the end of the summer.
I have 5 lovely pieces. All of mine have meaning to me other than just being cool.
This one is shared with my sisters. The three of us are great friends and we love how people comment when we are all together.

Tattooed. Actually, I got tattooed with my family. My brother went first, then my mom. My dad was next and I had no plans to get one. Before my dad sat down, I jumped in the chair and got a butterfly on my hip. I have a thing for butterflies and I got mine before everyone else on the planet got the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for body art, but I agree...you need to be able to cover them up because people don't understand. Most of the time employers don't understand.
I would have more tats, but the thing about them is...they hurt. And I'm a total wuss. So I'm good with the one for right now.
I'm body art free! I worry about something so permanent, always picturing the person who has "Love (insert name) FOREVER" tattooed on and then the inevitable happens! But, I have brothers who have tattoos- and they're in places that can be covered up. I don't consciously seek people who are tattoo-free, but I don't think I ever dated anyone with a tattoo - but that was "back in the day" (ok, the 1980s) when body art wasn't quite so popular.
ReplyDeleteNo tattoos for me. NEVER dated a tattooed guy, either. :)
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me- I forgot to give you my stamp! Damn it.
ReplyDeleteI really really wanted a tattoo. Everyone said 'wait five years, see if you still want it". I waited the five years, still wanted it, then my soon to be hubby came along and said "no tattoos for you". :-/ The sacrifices i make for great sex . . .
ReplyDeletei love the tattoo of the om.
